Dash CEO Peter Maragos this week participated in the “U.S. Listed Options: Leveraging Complexity to Return to Growth” panel at the Security Traders Association’s Annual Market Structure Conference in Washington DC. He was joined by Eric Frait, CBOE; Paul Jiganti, IMC Financial Markets; and Andy Nybo, TABB Group
The panel looked at the structural complexity in the U.S. listed options markets and how it is challenging future growth as the number of exchanges has increased and competition among market participants has become a battle of scale. The panel examined exchange pricing models, auctions, break-up fees and regulatory obligations, as well as solutions to foster future growth given the potential of emerging millennial investors.
